About this story
Water once visited his old friends Sun and Moon on land, but their house was too small to hold him. So Sun and Moon built a house in the sky — and that is why we see them there to this day, one after the other, never quite together.

Narrator: Long ago, Sun and Moon lived on the earth, and their dearest friend was Water.
Narrator: One day Water asked to visit, but warned that his whole family would come with him.
Narrator: So much water poured in that Sun and Moon had to climb higher and higher to stay dry.
Narrator: And that is why, ever since, they have lived together in the sky.
